PADDLING Bring a canoe, kayak or stand-up paddle board, and float the water of Elkwater Lake under the sun. Rentals and lessons are available at the Cypress Hills Visitor Centre. ELKWATER LAKE A blanket of soft sand invites visitors to build sand castles, lay in the sun, or swim in the water. With water that is safe to swim in and a comfy beachside, the day can be energetic or relaxing. FREE SUMMER PROGRAMS From paddling, to mountain biking, flower walks, tree walks, and free movies at the amphitheatre, there is an abundance of free programs for all ages led by nature experts. A fishing license is required.

TRAILS Hiking, mountain biking, and leisure trails are found throughout Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, and most are in close distance to the Elkwater Townsite. From family-friendly to challenging trails, choose an adventure that best suits the day with information on page 86 & 87, or at the Cypress Hills Visitor Centre. DINING Snug in the rolling hills, 12-34 Cafe , Mak n' Jak Grub Hub , and Swirls Ice Cream serve a mix of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Stop by after a lake day or while camping the Cypress Hills. CYPRESS HILLS VISITOR CENTRE Information Officers can help with any inquiries about specific activities and things to do. Displays and exhibits can be wandered to learn more about the wildlife and nature in the area, and a gift shop is available for souvenirs. Cypress Hills Visitor Centre

Nestled in the rolling hills is Elkwater Park Golf Club , a 9-hole course that also features a Clubhouse with a full food and drink menu and camping stalls.
