EXHIBITIONS You can expect beautifully-created works of art in the galleries and great stories of Medicine Hat’s heritage inside the museum. The galleries and museum are Pay What You Will. PERFORMING ARTS With its acoustic sound and decor, the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre is home to a theatre like no other in the region. The 700-seat auditorium hosts rock, country, jazz, and folk concerts, comedy specials, dance shows, musicals, and so much more throughout the year. FUN FOR FAMILIES! In the Hands On! Discovery Zone, children’s curiosity, creativity, and self-expression is encouraged through exploratory processes, making, and playing.

Upcoming Events HISTORIC WALKING TOURS Saturdays from 10-11a.m. from June to September Join a tour guide and performing actors for a deep dive into Medicine Hat’s most historic streets, Historic First Street and Historic Railroad District. The stories and photos are sourced from the Esplanade’s archives, bringing an authentic experience of Medicine Hat’s history. SILENT DISCO August 8, 2026 Dance under the stars on the Esplanade’s Rooftop Terrace, with cold cocktails, bold beats, beach balls, and pure retro vibes. Dive into the theme night and dance the night away at the Silent Disco. ART IN MOTION September 12, 2026 Downtown’s Historic First Street turns into an afternoon of creativity and art-inspired activities for families of all ages. Watch artists in action, create your own masterpieces, and shop local artisans, alongside live music and cultural performances.
