CANADIAN ENDURO LEAGUE August 8-9, 2026 Elkwater, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park The Canadian Enduro League will host a one day mountain bike festival in Elkwater, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park for a second time in 2026. The premier enduro series invites hundreds of mountain bikers to ride the rolling hills. From children to adults, cruising the trails in the lodgepole pine and aspen forest brings thrill, challenges, and opportunities to grow as a rider. Once the bikers hit the finish line, there’s a locally prepared meal greeting them. BATTLE CREEK SHOWDOWN August 22, 2026 Elkwater, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park Battle Creek Showdown is a decade long mountain bike festival hosted in the lodgepole pine and aspen forest in Elkwater, Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park . Over 200 riders race the highest elevations between the Rocky Mountains and Labrador. Afterwards, a locally catered dinner is served. Local mountain biker of almost 20 years, Katie Courty says the welcoming and outgoing spirit has remained with a slightly more competitive edge. The memorable moments keep piling on. “Us and all our friends camp the week before and into the weekend. We often have the backend of the Elkwater Campground. It’s all bikers and everybody sits and hangs out at the campsite. It’s my most favourite weekend of the summer, hands down,” says Courty.

Echo Dale Regional Park, Medicine Hat Hosted for a second year in the coulee landscape at Echo Dale Regional Park , Badlands Bash brings over 100 riders to ride and kick off the Medicine Hat mountain bike season. Gravity Sports owner and 670 Mountain Bike Club member Ben Roscoe co-hosts the event with owners of Hidden Gem Cycling Jessie and Tracy. Racers bike 5 downhill lines, and then the evening brings live music, bonfires, and bustling campsites. There are 10 designated campsites in the park, but a field is completely available for bikers to set up camp and celebrate mountain biking until the stars come out. “Our mountain bike culture here is really strong. The trails here are pretty awesome and the event is for anyone who wants to ride,” says Roscoe.
